Online Dispute Resolution
If you believe that a registered International Keyword
violates a trademark held by your company then you
may file a complaint online, which will begin a dispute
resolution process.
Disputes usually take 14 days for initial resolution
and occur in the following steps:
1. File Online Dispute
You must enter the keywords which you believe violate
your trademark. Although no fee is charged for the
actual resolution of a dispute you are required to
pay the registration fee ($45) at this stage.
2. Evaluation
After details of the dispute have been received the
registry will evaluate your claim. It will then attempt
to contact the current owner of the keyword.
3. Ruling
If the current owner fails to surrender the keyword
or the company persists in it's claim of infringement
the Registry will rule on the matter and transfer
the keyword away from or support the current registrant.
At any stage arbitration using organizations such
as the WIPO or ICharter
may be entered into.
